2HC Checkmate Routine

The most useful combination is having one Horse preventing the opponent King from returning home, while the other Horse served as a moving carriage for the Cannon to deliver successive checks.

An easy serial checkmate. Of course, the Horse may choose to gallop to the palace corner via the 7th file.

Here the access to the palace corner is obstructed by the two Black Pawns. The Red Horse has to find another avenue to penetrate the fortification.

In this routine, the two Red Horses switch roles in the middle of the assault. It should be noted that the spot B52 (palace top centre) must be vacant.

There are more obstacles in Red’s road to victory. Be careful that one of the Black Pawns is poisonned.
