Here are two very useful checkmate routines engaging a Horse, a Cannon and a Pawn.
After 11/15 P6+1, the Black King’s fate is doomed. If Black continues with A6+5, then P6=5, and the Horseback Cannon checkmate follows.
As Black’s palace centre (B50) is guarded by the Cannon, the previous routine has to be modified towards the end. Red cannot win if he plays P6+1 on move 11/23, or P6=5 on move 15/23. On the other hand, if Black plays C5=6 on move 14/23, he would lose the Cannon.
